In my attempts to locate a cellphone that will fit my needs, I finally stumbled across PhoneScoop.com ... which allows me to select a precise range of features I need, then returns exactly those phones which meet my needs. Very handy! So I got to wondering - where is there a site like this for hearing aid wearers?
Answer: nowhere. So, what do I need to create one?
- Most hearing aid makers do publish product info in fairly easy to read data sheets
- Create a database which includes:
- Fitting range data in db (an example of such a chart is here; seems like all the HA manufacturers publish this)
- Case and earmold style(s) of hearing aid
- Colors
- Features of hearing aid (yes, no, unable to determine, note)
- Digital or analog
- Pricing info.
- Links to manufacturer spec sheets
- User reviews
- Web site allowing user to enter his audiogram at 8-12 points then choose from other features
- Returns list of HA's with (adword?) links to product data.
- Must be administerable (input new HA product data) from website itself.
- Google adwords or similar ($$!)
